This course is specifically designed for team members who are preparing to launch team-wide OneNote organizational systems. The ideal attendee is interested in becoming better organized, and ready for the challenge of changing long-held habits. This session is designed to be interactive and requires full attention and participation from all attendees.
Course Duration: 4 Hours
Upon completion of this session, attendees will be ready to:
- Utilize Microsoft OneNote to organize their work
- Significantly reduce cluttered workspaces and related productivity costs
- Increase team communication and efficiency through OneNote’s Cloud functionality
- Improve communication with the field, using OneNote’s mobile functionality
- Build work templates to improve the flow of information project-wide
The following outline topics are just some of the key elements to be included in this session, but may be modified upon request if you’d like a specific topic to be included.

We’ll talk about how you are currently managing the flow of information, from the iconic yellow notepad to the newest Ipad and anything in between, and take a look at the disadvantages of a team where every member has his or her own system of storing and communicating information. Some of us have developed really effective and comfortable systems for managing our work over time, but we’ll look at how disconnectedness is a weak link, even in an otherwise strong chain. We’ll also show how OneNote can successfully integrate into existing systems to improve your current practices.
We’ll take our first look at OneNote, and walk through how to use it to organize your own information and connect with your team. We’ll look at some of the most valuable tools included in your OneNote install (and a few that you can add on!) OneNote includes a tremendous functionality for better organizing your projects, powerful collaboration tools, and a few features that just make it easier to manage and access your information. We’ll walk through a list of tools that will have you working with OneNote like a pro in no time!

Prior to the session, we’ll build a unique OneNote structure for your team. We’ll take a few minutes to log in and check out your new workspace with a few demonstrations, and time for questions or technical help.

While we create the initial structure, with pages for each team member and some basic connectivity elements, OneNote can do much more. In this section, we’ll take a look at a few examples of documents we can help you to build that will revolutionize the way you work!
